The Author

My name is Sophia.

I’m just a twenty-something year old lass recalling her most memorable snippets of life so far. Everything I write is true. I don’t aim to antagonise anyone or show people in a bad light. I rarely include names. Occasionally I’ll include a photo but nothing too revealing. Some photos are from the time and place; others have been robbed to merely help with the description. This is just a small history of life – bad and good.

I’m not a professional writer but I live with my partner, an incredible writer, in one of the most beautiful cities. He inspired me to write this.

In real life I work several jobs. I’ve got a finger in every pie. I write this blog for pleasure. I find it entirely enjoyable to take the past and mold/condense it into words. No matter how sad, I still find the end product pleasurable to read. I see myself as creating something beautiful out of what was once horrendous…

…and the rest – well it’s all just good fun.

Why’s it black and white?

I’ve kind of started something i can’t end there! However I think the black and white is quite fitting - looking at the past in a distant way - something that can’t quite materialise because it’s not here in the present. It’s cold - just the way I like it. It’s taking myself away from those feelings I once felt - drawing a line under it.

  3. Black and White theme does suit the blog though it gives a nostalgic feel to the whole site. Good choice there.

By the way, are you British? Just wondering.. :)

  6. Hi
You really do write wonderfully. I read an undertone of self harming. Has this been a problem for you as I have suffered with it.
